I'm a dedicated medical biller with a passion for accuracy, efficiency, and making sure patients and providers get the clarity they deserve when it comes to healthcare finances. I love billing because it brings order to a complex system—and there's real satisfaction in solving problems and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. I'm also a proud mom of two very active young boys who keep me on my toes every day!

Before diving into the world of medical billing, I was an opera singer—so I’ve gone from high notes to high claims!​​​​

My prior experience in billing has included  Oncology, Cardiology, Professional, Vascular and some Orthopedic.  I was able to acquire experience in collections, auditing, and occasionally coding… I enjoy working in the Medical Billing field because of the constant changes and learning that goes with it. I also like that I can work independently. 

As Native Floridians, My three children and I love sunny days, sandy beaches and lots of fishing… In my free time I enjoy spending time with family and my Newfiedoodle, Hayes.

What attracted me to medical billing was family not understanding bills and the explanations they were receiving from the insurance company; from understanding what was being billed to why they owed what they owed. Now I not only love helping patients but also the creative/out of the box thinking, investigating, and competitiveness that comes with it as well. 

 

In my free time I am at my son's football/baseball games, fishing, or finding a new recipe to make.

I like the challenge of billing and resolving denial/rejection issues. I love puzzles and in a lot of ways billing is a lot like solving a puzzle. I also love taking the burden off of providers. It can be frustrating at times and no provider should be dealing with this on top of patient care. 

A fun fact about me is that I am a pretty decent drawer. I love art and try to draw as much as I can.

I love billing because there is something so satisfying about working through a to-do list, posting payments and resolving any underlying issues so that you can cross items off of that list. Is that weird? It might be, but I think this lends itself well to working in this field.
Very often billing tasks often become logic puzzles when insurance gets involved and does weird things, and that is also interesting. I like finding answers to these side quests and fixing all of the issues so that everything runs smoothly.

My hobbies include reading, writing, and gardening. In April I had a play produced with Enter Stage Right at the Citadel Stage in Port Huron, MI.​​​​​​​

I love medical billing because it’s the perfect mix of focus and accomplishment. I enjoy the satisfaction of getting things right and seeing results. It’s a job that keeps me motivated and proud of what I do.

I love the challenge that comes with figuring out how to get a claim paid accurately.  The insurance billing maze is fun to navigate with each twist and turn that comes up and makes each day of work different from the last.  Working for a company that supports and encourages their employees across all avenues, both personal and professional, is an added bonus!

My husband and I built a barn home in Maine.  We call it Schoolhouse #9 because it is on the same land as a schoolhouse our small town used in the 1800s.  It was a lot of work to build it ourselves but getting to kayak, snowshoe and hike in the White Mountains nearby makes it all worth it! 

I enjoy the challenge of resolving billing issues. It is rewarding to find solutions that help both the patients and providers.

I love billing because I enjoy analyzing and resolving errors with a sense of accomplishment when claims are paid. Helping providers through the complex system of insurance for maximum revenue so they can concentrate on patient care is crucial. I find my earlier experiences as a Medical Transcriptionist and a Medical Coder have brought me to this Medical Billing team where being a part of the end result of the revenue cycle is absolutely rewarding!

I live on a crop farm in the thumb of Michigan where you may see me on a tractor or working on one!  I always have some type of art project going whether it be restoring an antique or painting farm equipment to painting the American flag on the firehall door. I love snowmobiling, gardening, and bow hunting!

I love billing because I love numbers and problem solving. It's nice to see your work from start to finish. If there is an issue, and you work on it, to finally see it get paid is the reward.

Time is a valuable commodity and few people have enough of it. I like knowing that we are both providing a service that directly contributes to the health of a practice while also giving those practices more time to focus on their own clients.

I love to bake, especially for friends and family! I've pretty much made the cake or dessert for every birthday party I've been to in the last year.​​​​​​

It makes sense to me!  It's one huge game that you can win every time with the right tools.  It doesn't take a big IQ, just the right orientation to win.
